Numbered Plastic Tags are generaly suitable for situations in which the tag is less likely to be handled constantly. While the rigid laminate we use is very tough, it can be chipped if knocked against solid or sharp objects.
Plastic tags are not recommended for exterior use, nor where they may be exposed to direct sunlight. UV rays can damage the plastic and make it very brittle. We also do not recommend their use as Pet Tags.
Our Anodised Aluminium Tags are much better for exterior use, or where the tag may be exposed to harsh conditions.
