Spare Pet Tag - yes or no?

[ Close Window ]

Tags do get broken and lost, so you should always have a spare tag tucked away in the kitchen drawer. They can work loose off the pet's collar, or catch on something while they run around. The law requires your dog to be wearing a tag whenever they are in a public place.

Nearly 250,000 dogs go missing in the UK every year and a staggering 40% of them are un-tagged and un-chipped. Don't let your dog be part of those statistics.

The cost of recovering a dog can be considerable. In addition to your own time and expense, dog sanctuaries will require a recovery fee, as will vets. It is estimated that on average, people spend between £150 and £250 when recovering a lost, un-tagged dog.

A quick decision NOW to get an extra tag is up to two hundred times cheaper...
